PUBIC hair removal doesn’t always go as well as anticipated. Here’s one mistake you should always avoid if you want super smooth skin.
Many put themselves through time-consuming beauty rituals every month. For most men and women, this involves keeping everything looking tidy down-there.But unfortunately, this regime doesn’t always run as smoothly as they hope.Razor bump, ingrown hair and itchy rashes are among the nasties that can form on your pubic area. And in many cases, these problems are caused by one common denominator.
Apparently, shaving your intimate areas is a big no-no.
According to The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, using a razor on your sensitive areas can tear the skin. This then leaves your pores more prone to infections, as they can infiltrate through “microscopic open wounds”.
Thrush is one of the most common side-effects and can lead to itching, irritation and pain during sex.
The experts recommend leaving some hair in your intimate area – as this can apparently act as a barrier against any germs.
A spokesperson told The Sun: "Pubic hair offers a natural barrier to keep things clean, to decrease contact with viruses and bacteria, and to protect the tender skin of the area.
"Pubic hair also prevents foreign particles like dust and pathogenic bacteria from entering the body, and helps to control the moisture of the area which decreases the chances of yeast infections."
Thankfully, it’s finally trendy again to embrace your natural body hair.
